Pikachu Case -Secret Santa-

Finished the Pikachu Case for the Secret Santa event being held on DA by the GottaCraftEmAll group. I was a tad late with finishing it, but hopefully the person will like it.

I might make more.

Pikachu Case -WIP-

Pikachu Case I'm working on. It's for a Pokemon Secret Santa Event on Deviantart. I'm a tad late on finishing it, but hopefully I'll be done with it today. I will be posting pictures of the finished item once it's done.

OC Design Entry+OOAK

My Original Character concept for the "OC Design Nightmare Before Christmas Contest," held on Deviantart by Another Contest Group.

I was originally going to be making the this guy into an actual 3D OOAK doll. But I forgot the deadline and I can't get him done in time to submit to the contest.

I was so worried that my drawing wasn't going to be good enough, but then I read that they accepted sketches, so I was like HUZZAH! Good times.

I'm still going to be making that OOAK doll of him, so look forward to that in the future. I'm thinking of making varieties of him to sell. If anyone likes his design that is. >_>

Note: The snake tail is going to be posable. I'm going to put wire in it so you can pose it and all that good stuff.

Commission WIP

Work I've done so far on the commission I received. I'm almost done with this first guy! Hopefully I'll be able to finish him and start on the next guys.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

My first try at an OOAK doll. I had this little guy as an idea a while ago, and I've been working on him on and off, but I just finished him a day ago. So this is the first time I've made anything like this, I see a ton of mistakes but I think it was alright for my first try.

I'll be fixing my pattern and then making more to sell~
I've got a ton of ideas for a bunch of different Guttlings. So it's quite exciting bringing them to life.

This little guy is made of fleece, cotton fabric, felt, and polymer clay pieces. Everything was handmade by me.

Guttling Species Information:
Guttlings are very hungry creatures. They observe humans from a distance and would stay away from them if it weren't for all that delicious food they seem to carry all the time. They are on a mission to get as much of that delicious food as they possibly can. They plan out ways to get it, and if it seems to work they keep doing it.

What Guttlings don't know though, is that humans find them quite adorable and their plans amusing. Thus Guttlings usually get the food from humans without having to do what they planned out. But this makes the Guttlings think that their plan worked, so they keep making plans anyway.

If food disappears when you've set down to eat, it was probably a Guttling hiding somewhere who swiped it. You can always tell which Guttling is responsible by looking at their stomach.

All Guttlings have horns, and their stomachs are visible. Their feet are chicken-like and they have cone-like nails.

(This species is my original creation.)

Guttlings + More

I just keep piling projects on my plate on top of each other. Which then results in things being left on the backburner *coughamigurumiteddyscough*. Regardless, I've been working on something new and exciting during that time.

I couldn't hold back any longer, I needed to try my hand at making plushes. I see the remarkable things people make and I want to make my creations come to life like that. I've always wanted to make plushes, but I just couldn't get motivated enough. Well now I am, and the first ones I'm going to dish out are Guttlings. That's the name I have decided upon and I hope you enjoy them.

So far I have really enjoyed making this little guy. The top picture is his body and head. I had to re-stitch his mouth because it was crooked and was bothering the hell out of me. I also re-made his legs and horns because the other ones were too small for his body, it didn't look right. I also decided to add in the white nails that were originally in the concept sketch. I wasn't going to but decided it'd look better.

Now I'm deciding on whether I should wait for the plastic safety eyes, or just use the ones I've made (the little black dots you see there in the picture). Once I do decide though, everything will be put together and I'll see if the pattern I made the first time around is good enough to keep using for the rest of the Guttlings.

That's not all though, I've ordered quite a lot of fabric because I have other plush ideas that I'm going to bring to life. So wish me luck on this journey of sewing and occasionally stabbing my finger with a needle by accident.

Finals Over

School finals are over, but work is still kicking my ass. I have to get used to the inconsistent hours. So I'm sorry for the further delays that will follow. But I will keep working on items on my days off.

On the bright side I did find time to update pictures of items in my shop. One of them being the one you see up above. So if you're curious, check them out.

There are also items on sale, their prices didn't exactly change, but compared to the price of similar items that I'll be posting, they're cheaper.

Lack of Updates

Story of my life.
Sorry for lack of updates, finals have creeped up on me. I also got a job recently and they decided to book me for the entire week of my final week to work on my ceramic assignments. Not good.

I'm not sure exactly when I'll be able to get more items done. But updates will be uploaded here as always!

Starry Tentacles -Keychains-

Available at my shop!

I had this idea of "starry" octopus'/squids and I decided to try and make it. I found the perfect yarn for it, it has some sort of shiny yarn in it which allows the final piece to "glitter". I found it to be quite wonderful, and so these guys were born!

I have attached a hook to them so you can clip them wherever you want.

Recommended washing is by hand or washing machine. Air dry, DO NOT PUT IN DRYER.

Teddy Roosebelt Ami's -WIP-

A WIP of two teddy amigurumi, you guessed it it's the Teddy Roosebelts again! Remember they're clay forms? Well in the beginning they were going to be amigurumi's instead of clay, but I went with clay because I felt it was easier for me. Now I have gone back to the amigurumi form and am nearly finished with them.

They are going to have removable hard hats, I'm going to add their knee pads, and I'm going to add their mouths. But once that's all done I'll have them up for sale at my shop~

Oh I forgot about their googles, I will be making them as well.

Animal Suits and Ragnarok Case Update.

Remember these guys? Well unfortunately they burned, well more specifically their faces burned (it was probably the clay I used, it couldn't handle the same temp as the other clay). I couldn't quite fix them so they were disposed of. But I'll be making more, and they'll probably be bigger than these were.

As for this guy, I didn't even announce him on this blog but I did on my (now converted) Shop Tumblr. Well either way, this was another Soul Eater based case. But I didn't like the way I attached his face. It was hard to sew it on, so I tried out the glue gun. Needless to say, I hate it so I won't be selling it. I learned my lesson there.

Monster Case Prize -WIP-

WIP picture of the prize I'm working on for the Monsters Contest  being hosted by the Popkes group on DeviantArt. So if you want a chance at winning this case then I suggest you participate! But if not, I'll be making more to sell.

Either way I really like how he's come out. I'm thinking of adding something on his chest area but I'm not quite sure what. I was thinking of adding a patch of fur. If you have any suggestions then leave me a comment!

I just need to finish the inside and then the final pics will be posted. Possibly tomorrow or the day after. :3

Shadow Crona Keychains

Available at my shop!

I've made more shadow keychains, although this time they're all Crona's! (Did I ever mention that I love his char, even if he is a bit psycho). There's two different types of Crona's, a sad Crona and a meh Crona. They also vary in sizes, and there's only 1 of each, so get them while they're here.

They are made from clay, hand painted, and glazed.

Crona's -WIP-

So these are the Crona keychains I announced a while back. I'm so slow, sorry. But anyway, as you can see I have painted their faces. There's two that have the sad face, and two that don't. Right now I have glazed them and they're drying.

As for the Rengar keychain (the feline looking thing if you don't know League of Legends), it's being glazed as well. This one is a prize donation.

Hopefully I'll be able to put the Crona's up for sale tomorrow or the day after. So keep an eye out if you're interested in purchasing them.

New Cases - WIP

A WiP of the newest cases I've been working on. I'm still not sure what design to put on the blue one. If you have any suggestions then please suggest ideas! The green one is going to be a prize donation in the Monsters Contest that the Popkes group is holding on Deviantart. Now for the last one. I want to keep that one a surprise until I'm done with it. But just so you know, the white stuff you see on it isn't dust or dandruff (lol), it's a shiny yarn that's infused with the black yarn. So it kinda glitters. :3

I'll be posting updates on the blue and green cases. Maybe updates on the black case as well.

Animal Suits -WIP-

A WIP picture of upcoming keychains. This is them in their raw version (haven't been cured yet). I was experimenting with different outfits and the way I made their arms and such. I think I like the way I did the legs on the dino guys better than the other ones.

There's only going to be one purple bunny (which you can't see very well), two bears, and two dinos. There's a male and female for both the bear and the dino.

I need to paint the faces on and glaze them. Then they'll be up for sale at my shop. ^^

More Soul Eater Shadow Crona's!

Remember these guys? You might not because they were sold soon after I put them up for sale. Well either way, the good news is that I'll be making more. But before I get to these, I have a set of Crona's that I'm going to be selling individually!
Here they are! These are going to represent another Crona, which is why he doesn't have arms and such. They varied in sizes so that's going to affect how much they each cost. The smallest one being the cheapest. This is just the WIP, they're not complete yet, I still have their faces to paint on, then glaze, so on and so forth. Expect these in the shop soon!

Octopus Progress

Ah my beautiful little octopus'. They wouldn't even have been created if it weren't for Big Mambo.

The painted octopus was my first prototype. I like how it came out and wanted to make an updated version. The second octopus is still in early stages, but you can already see that I added something completely new. My father told me that I should add the suckers and I agreed with him.

I love how his tentacles came out, although they got smooshed at the bottom (is that even a word?). It's because the overall weight and the fact that the clay gets soft when baked. So I know I'm going to have to change the way I bake it. I already have it all planned out for the next one, and that one might put up for sale.

The reason my second prototype isn't painted yet is because I'm procrastinating. How terrible of me. :I

I'm thinking of making more of these and selling them on my shop. I might sell them unpainted, so that way you guys can paint them however you want and truly have a unique octopus!

I've also got a special surprise item which stemmed from these guys, which I'm thinking of selling.

Baka Avatar-Commission

My first commission, requested by my friend Laguna. It's Akihisa Yoshii's avatar from the anime Baka and Test. I watched it on Netflix, passed it on to Laguna and love was born. And from that love this keychain was born!

Want to commission something from me? Commission information may be found on my shop site here, or on my Deviantart here!

Meet the Engineer Teddys!

For sale at my shop!

RED Team Teddy: SOLD
I saw these and instantly had to make them. They're just absolutely adorable. I didn't even know they were actually in game items until Daemon on DA told me. I made one for Blu Team and one for Red Team.

There's only 1 of each right now but I'll be making more.

CWaT - Keychains

For sale at my shop!

I decided to start a series of keychains and such called, Cute With a Twist. These are the first three I've made so far. I love the bear the best, I'll be sad when he leaves. (Maybe I should just keep him).

With the cat I tried button eyes, and I like how he looks. Maybe I should have tried different colored buttons, next time definitely.

As for the bunny, she's currently not up in my shop. I saw that the old glaze I used to use has formed cracks. I will try and fix that as best I can. Depending on how well that goes, she might be discounted.

Amigurumi Squids and Moustached Octopus'

For sale at my shop!

Orange Squid: SOLD
The squids are one of the very first amigurumi's I made. They're my own pattern and no I won't hand it out. They're meant to be plushies and will sit quietly on your desk or shelf.

The moustached octopus' are keychains and will hang out wherever you clip them. They're my own pattern and I will not hand that one out either. These are all the yarns I have available to make them in. So if you're interested in one of these little guys that has been sold out, feel free to contact me! You may ask for them without the moustache.

The recommended washing for all of these is either hand washing or a washing machine. Let air dry, DO NOT PUT IN DRYER!

King Loki

For sale at my shop!

A Loki figurine that I made for a contest on DA. I won 3rd place. I'm quite proud of this little figurine, I love how his hair came out. I gave him a crown because he has so many fans, he's king in many hearts. Hurr durr.

Crocheted Cases

 For sale at my shop!

The Bear case was the very first one I crocheted. I'm quite proud of how it came out! Not bad for a first try. I'm especially proud of the inside, that fabric was a perfect match.

The Medusa Arrows case is of course based on the anime, Soul Eater. I hated Medusa but I loved her power, I mean who thought arrows would be that cool? So I hand stitched the arrows on the case individually and added a little felt Medusa.
©Medusa-Soul Eater

The recommended cleaning method is either by hand washing or putting it in a washing machine. Let air dry, DO NOT PUT IN DRYER!

Expressive Octopus Charms

These are for sale at my shop!

I decided to make some expressive octopus' because I thought they'd look cute. I'll be making many more expressions, I just have to get around to it.

The dark blue octopus is angry, the orange one is hurt (literally, he has a bandage on his head), and the metallic octopus is blank. If you want a custom expression feel free to contact me!

Squid Charms

For sale at my shop!

I'll be making more squids in different colors, with either a bow tie or a moustache. You may ask for custom ones! That way you don't have to wait for your perfect squid! Just communicate with me in whichever way is easiest for you.

This little guy was the very first bow tie squid I made. He has been sold though and I'm positive he's in a loving home. <3

Patches

For sale at my shop!

This creation was inspired by....you guessed it My Little Pony. I wanted to make something other than the ponies from the show. This was my way of jumping onto the bandwagon.

I went for a plushie look, hence the Patches name. My friend Laguna said it looked like a cross between MLP and Gir. I like how it came out.

Amigurumi Zombie Animal Keychains

For sale at my shop!

Little zombie animals I crocheted to be keychains. They're smaller than other Amigurumi's I've made. They are both 3" tall, I was aiming for smaller but at this size they make cute little companions.

For the cat I went with a red yarn. I like how the stitches stick out a bit more. Plus I imagine them soaked in blood, a bit morbid but hey, they're zombies!

I'll be making more animals. If you want a specific animal done feel free to contact me!

Zombie Cat Amigurumi

For sale at my Shop!

I decided to go with button eyes, because honestly I love how they look. I embroidered his stitches and his mouth. I love how he came out.

Not for small children since the button eyes may come off with chewing and constant pulling. For cleaning I recommend washing by hand or putting it in a washing machine. Let air dry, DO NOT PUT IN DRYER!
